Jennifer and Leith’s Hamptons affair is overflowing with all of this delightfulness and more; their late summer coastal soiree is bright, breezy and bursting with love and merriment.

Andrea & John   ♥   Minnesota, USA

Photographer:   Mad Chicken Studio

Happy Thanksgiving! To join in the festivities being celebrated across the pond in the US today, I thought I’d share an American wedding.

Today we are jetting off to Lake Superior in Minnesota for a wedding that is nothing short of magical. Andrea and John planned a whole weekend of fun beside the lake for their wedding guests – a true destination wedding enabling their nearest and dearest to get away together and soak up some quality time as one in a breathtaking location.

On the morning of their wedding mist engulfed the shoreline of the world’s largest freshwater lake – only adding to the already romantic and ethereal atmosphere surrounding the rustic lodgings!

Not only did I feel that this destination wedding was fitting for Thanksgiving since it took place in the US, but the stationery suite that this darling duo used for their waterside wedding really jumped out at me, especially the gratitude expressed in the card that was laid on each table place setting.

The words read as follows:

To our friends and family, thank you. For being part of our happily ever after, for sharing the first day of our new life together. It means the world to us that you all have travelled so far to celebrate with us this weekend. Thank you for being our encouragement, our mentors, the ones we lean on, and our partners in crime, for loving us through the ups and downs in life. You have helped make us who we are and for that we are forever grateful. So please enjoy today, you are our favourite people and we’re so glad to have you join us on our first day as husband and wife. Thank you for sharing in today’s celebration and those we’ll share in the years to come. We love you.

Isn’t that what thanksgiving is all about! Being so grateful for everything and everyone that you have in life, focusing on what you have instead of what you have not. I’m sure these words will resonate with you as they did me. Happy Thanksgiving everyone x
