Gabrielle & Gareth ♥ Phuket, Thailand
Photographer: Hilary Cam Photography
Of all the beautiful sandy shores there are in the world upon which to tie the knot, the destination ceremonies in Thailand always look like pure wedded bliss.
The gorgeous Gabrielle and Gareth, like many couples, decided to get married abroad as it provided a midway point for their families who are from opposite corners of the globe – South Africa and Australia. The picturesque island of Phuket was their destination, the secluded beach of Kata Noi Bay was to be their dreamy big day setting.
Gabrielle looked every bit the beautiful boho bride with a delicate headdress, floating veil and a chic and unique layered gown. Oh and of course, who could forget her strappy gold Choo’s and matching clutch bag – the ultimate in finishing touches!
As always, today’s flyaway couple added their own personal touch to their destination wedding with brightly coloured sunglasses and fans as favours for their guests and they enchanced their blissful beachfront wedding ceremony with traditional Jewish customs. The wedding party then headed on to the pure white sands to watch with wonder as the sun set over the ocean to a vibrant display of pink, violet and scarlet hues – destination wedding perfection!
Tianjin & Ben ♥ Koh Samui, Thailand

Calling all boho brides-to-be! Today’s private villa wedding in Thailand is bohemian wedding bliss.
The setting was a secluded beachside villa on the idyllic island of Koh Samui, surrounded by nothing but sunshine and bleached white sand.
Tianjin is every bit the beautiful boho bride. She looks effortlessly chic, barefoot on the beach with her unique two-layered dress swishing in the slight sea breeze. To finish her relaxed look Tiajin wore her hair in long loose curls with a fabulous statement flower crown – perfection!
Having first met at a festival in London, Tianjin and Ben rocked a festival theme at their weeklong wedding celebration with their closest family and friends.
DIY-done-right details ensured that the day reflected their personalities and in true festival fashion, the party continued until dawn with the guests dancing under the pale moonlight, the sky full of stars.
What a wedding! True boho bliss…
“Ben & Tianjin first met at Lovebox festival in London and their love took Ben across the world to Sydney, Australia where they both now live.”
“Their passions are music, fun and yoga and so they created ‘Lovebox’ the wedding, a four-day celebration in Koh Samui, Thailand. Friends and family from all around the world came together to celebrate the love of these two beautiful spirits.”

Real bride review:
“We first went to Thailand in 2010 when we went travelling around Asia. We absolutely fell in love with the place and knew that if we got married this would be the place to do it!”

“We decided to get married in May 2012 and started planning a ‘typical’ British wedding however it just didn’t feel right and in October 2012 we decided that we wanted to get married in Thailand with a few special friends and family.”
“When we were travelling we had never been to Khao Lak, however we had heard that it was meant to be beautiful so we started to look for hotels in this area. We found Apsara and it looked idyllic – on the beach, secluded and hardly any people around! We knew that this was the place and started to arrange it with the hotel.”
After three flights and 24 hours of travelling, arriving at Koh Samui airport would bring a smile to the face of even the weariest of traveller. Looking more like a Hawaiian hut than an airport we were collected from the plane by little trestle trains, brightly coloured and open aired. “Only in Thailand” my man and I said to each other as we trundled along the runway towards the arrivals hut alongside landing jet planes.
This is what we love about Thailand (hence this being our third visit!). It’s not only a beautiful and magical country full of wonderful people and the tastiest of food but also quirky and unique and in so many places still really undeveloped.
