Destination Wedding – Pretty Autumn Day In The Hudson River Valley

Jane & Michael   ♥   Hudson River Valley, New York

Photographer:   OLLI STUDIO

There’s been a touch of autumn in the air over the last few days in the UK. Torrential downpours and grey skies have been greeting us most mornings and once the sun finally came out yesterday afternoon there was a cool, fresh autumnal edge to the breeze and the pavements were strewn with yellow leaves where the trees must have mistaken the unseasonable weather for the beginning of fall.

Despite it signifying the end of summer, autumn is a lovely season and a gorgeous time of year for a wedding. Deep earthy shades can be teamed with pops of autumn brights – pumpkin orange and golden yellow and rich red leaves – to create a warm and romantic wedding theme.

Jane and Micheal jetted off to Upstate New York to create just this kind of cozy atmosphere for their wedding day. Their day was filled with crisp, bright sunlight and their venue didn’t disappoint with autumn-hued treetops and a dewy view over the Hudson River Valley as their backdrop. Cute personalised touches including pumpkins and scarecrows added to their pretty, rustic autumn theme.

Fingers crossed that the summer sunshine is going to return to us for a little while longer, but it is quite exciting that the lovely autumn months are just around the corner too…

Real Wedding – Heartfelt Bohemian Ceremony In Mexico

17/06/2015 | 0

Getting Married In Mexico 14

Bree & Erik   ♥   Puerto Penasco, Mexico

Photographer:   Ily Grantham

Not only did Bree and Erik’s destination wedding take place beside a beautiful beach in Mexico (not to mention how stunning Bree looked in her lace wedding dress…that she designed herself – how talented?!) but there’s a wonderfully warmhearted and thoughtful story behind the spot where they decided to tie the knot.

Being able to pick a truly unique wedding location can be one of the main reasons that brides and grooms decide to get married abroad. For this darling duo not only did a destination wedding feel right but getting hitched in Mexico enabled all of their close friends who live in Mexico to definitely be able to attend their nuptials.

A typical hotel wedding just didn’t fit the bill and so they set about making a brilliant one of a kind idea become a reality. I’ll let Bree the beautiful bride explain the full story behind their heartfelt bohemian ceremony in Mexico…

Lou & Rob   ♥   Victoria, Australia

Photographer:   Oli Sansom

Lovers of the great outdoors will no doubt be dreaming of tying the knot alfresco, breathing in pure fresh air and surrounded by nothing but nature and untouched beauty.

Lou and Rob said “I Do” out in the bushland of the picturesque Goulburn River region in the heart of Victoria, Australia. A truly open-air affair, they said their vows beneath the forest’s branches within this charming National Park.

Lou looked everything a woodland boho bride should be and more, whilst splashes of fiery red added flare to their rustic wedding party look.

Sara & Dustin   ♥   Santa Cruz, USA

Mountain weddings always seem to be so tranquil and idyllic, and Sara and Dustin’s ceremony certainly lived up to this with a sweet and private setting tucked away within the quiet hillside of Boulder Creek in California.

Once it was declared that Sara and Dustin had ‘nailed it’ – literally, check out their cool announcement board! – the party really got started!

This cool couple put their heart and soul into their DIY day and it really paid off; there are so many steal-worthy ideas! Rustic signs, a milk and cookies station, personalized blackboard glasses for all of the guests, a homemade photobooth, wedding flowers put together from the local farmers market and more.

You’ll be so impressed by the festival feeling that this darling duo managed to create for their celebration and the stunning, serene Santa Cruz mountains standing silently in the background simply add to the already magical atmosphere.

Wedding Theme Inspiration – Rustic Vineyard Summer Wedding Shoot

02/06/2015 | 0

CT-StyledIMG_1457-2

I must pre-warn you…..you might fall seriously in love with today’s styled shoot! I for one have spent far more time than I’d like to admit gazing at these gorgeous scenes from Neverending Magic PhotographyPhotographed in the grounds of Cape Point Vineyards near Cape Town in South Africa, this wedding theme inspiration is nothing short of stunning.

Not only is the location brimming with beauty – well, it is overlooking world-famous sauvignon blanc vines (yum!), with the crests of the Atlantic Ocean waves just in sight and with rural mountains standing tall in the background, commanding grandeur – but the beautifully feminine styling seen throughout is absolutely perfect for a destination wedding.

Delicate pinks and neutral hues are teamed with bright bursts of summertime blooms; rustic touches and natural burlap sit with pretty glass and delicate silverware to create an ideal outdoor summer wedding theme.

The soft and atmospheric lighting of the midsummer sunset works wonderfully with the twinkling candlelight and the look is faultlessly finished with fresh and breezy wedding dresses and dramatic flower crowns. *Sigh*
