Did you catch a glimpse of this week’s real wedding? Be sure to take a browse through the gallery of gorgeousness that is Claire and Robin’s wedding if you missed it. They tied the knot on an idyllic island in Greece and used a delightfully delicate peacock print on their stationery.

This stylish stationery went on to inspire today’s Friday Five, which brings you five fabulous ways to add subtle peacock feather wedding ideas to your big day!

These striking teal, aqua, lavender and gold feathers would compliment a bridal bouquet or groom’s boutonniere, enhance a bridal updo, supplement centerpieces and big day décor or make a pretty print for wedding stationery – remember though, subtly is key!

There’s been a real trend for rustic Americana weddings recently and feathers have been a popular feature, however the peacock feather adds a more regal and majestic touch. The jewel tones of peacock feathers would work wonderfully for a winter wedding or tone them down and team them with white and more summery shades such as pinks and purples for a hot weather wedding.

Real Wedding – The Natural Beauty Of Spetses

Claire & Robin   ♥    Spetses, Greece

Photographer:   Anna Roussos

The Greek island of Spetses has nudged its way on to my must-visit list. Always keen to visit somewhere a little less discovered, this peaceful spot is off the beaten Greek island-hopping track and has certainly kept its character and charm, with a horse and carriage still being the locals preferred transportation.

Claire and Robin wisely chose to emphasize the natural beauty of their chosen destination wedding location rather than detract from it, by using sympathetic styling and neutral detailing. Claire looked angelic in a timeless Jenny Packham gown, offset with vintage jewellery and a delicate white bridal bouquet, whilst her groom Robin complimented her and their theme perfectly in a stylish neutral suit.

The darling duo tied the knot outdoors, surrounded by nature and their loved ones, at an ancient amphitheater; olive trees and an abundance of off-white decorated the altar. The elegant Poseidonion Grand Hotel then hosted their stylish garden reception and the attractive attention to detail continued in the form of peacock print table name cards, olive branch decorations and soft candlelight.

All of the romance and the pure wedding pretty of Claire and Robin’s day, was captured by the amazing Anna Roussos.
