Destination Wedding – It’s Gonna Be A Bright Sunshiny Day In Bali

Bree & David   ♥   Bali, Indonesia

Photographer:   PhotoFactory Bali

The first thing I noticed when I opened up Bree and David’s beautiful destination wedding photos was the piercing clear-blue sky. There isn’t a single cloud in the sunny sky and it’s that deep, vibrant shade of blue that you just can’t take your eyes off, it’s just that perfect.

However…once I started to read this cute couple’s story, I realised that they nearly didn’t have this scorcher of a day as a backdrop to their destination wedding! They were meant to tie the knot the day before but there was a bit of a crazy turn in the weather. Luckily they managed to postpone the entire wedding until the next day.

It just shows that when you’re getting married abroad, it doesn’t matter where in the world you choose, you still can’t guarantee or control the weather! But there’s never any need to stress about these things either, as there is always a solution and it couldn’t have worked out better that Bree and David married the following day as they got to enjoy the most glorious day and said “I Do’ with the best of the Balinese sunshine smiling down on them.

Lovers of the great outdoors will no doubt be dreaming of tying the knot alfresco, breathing in pure fresh air and surrounded by nothing but nature and untouched beauty.

Lou and Rob said “I Do” out in the bushland of the picturesque Goulburn River region in the heart of Victoria, Australia. A truly open-air affair, they said their vows beneath the forest’s branches within this charming National Park.

Lou looked everything a woodland boho bride should be and more, whilst splashes of fiery red added flare to their rustic wedding party look.

Sara & Dustin   ♥   Santa Cruz, USA

Mountain weddings always seem to be so tranquil and idyllic, and Sara and Dustin’s ceremony certainly lived up to this with a sweet and private setting tucked away within the quiet hillside of Boulder Creek in California.

Once it was declared that Sara and Dustin had ‘nailed it’ – literally, check out their cool announcement board! – the party really got started!

This cool couple put their heart and soul into their DIY day and it really paid off; there are so many steal-worthy ideas! Rustic signs, a milk and cookies station, personalized blackboard glasses for all of the guests, a homemade photobooth, wedding flowers put together from the local farmers market and more.

You’ll be so impressed by the festival feeling that this darling duo managed to create for their celebration and the stunning, serene Santa Cruz mountains standing silently in the background simply add to the already magical atmosphere.

Krystle & Michael   ♥   Maui, Hawaii

Photographer:   Karma Hill Photography

I’m not sure you could tie the knot anywhere more paradise-like than the sun-bleached sandy shores of Hawaii. Clear blue skies beam overhead whilst leggy palm trees sway in the gentle Pacific Ocean breeze, easing the tropical balminess – Hawaii sure does deliver on the dreamy destination wedding front!

Krystle and Michael said “I Do!” with an oceanfront ceremony at Sugar Beach Events of Hawaii, a private oasis on the breathtaking island of Maui. They added a touch of the tropics to their day by wearing traditional Hawaiian lei garlands and with beautiful local flowers for the bridal bouquets and centerpieces, whilst the rich royal blue hues of the wedding party outfits (and Krystle’s gorgeous Manolo Blahnik’s!) reflected the sapphire blue ocean.

We’re so pleased that Maui wedding photography team Karma Hill were on hand too to capture the sunshine and smiles of this delightful destination wedding day!

Julie & Mario   ♥   California, USA

Photographer:   onelove photography

Julie and Mario knew what they wanted from their wedding venue for the start. They dreamed of tying the knot outdoors at a relaxed, rustic location and so they set upon finding their desired location to say “I Do”.

The idyllic Inn at Winters Park in Northern California ticked all of the boxes. This luxurious country estate boasts a Victorian Mansion built in 1865 which is set within ten acres of beautifully manicured gardens and rich farmland overlooked only by the Blue Ridge Mountain range.

Being in the wedding design and printing industry this sweet couple certainly stamped their personal style onto their day. Warm pops of canary yellow perfectly complimented the Californian sunshine, and DIY details and customized installations added to the laid-back, rural charm of this delightful day.
