Warning: if you’re partial to a sneaky mid-morning biscuit or cake (or two) then this styled shoot will have your tummy rumbling!

From deliciously hand painted wedding cakes (such a stylish trend at the mo) to our old faithful friend the naked cake topped with fresh fruit, your mouth is guaranteed to water whilst looking at this little lot. Oh and if that’s not enough, there’s a sweetie table filled with chocolate chip cookies and marshmallows ready to dunk into melted chocolate – what a tasty idea for your wedding guests.

Beyond the sugary delights, today’s wedding theme inspiration is bright and beautiful. Bold retro orange is teamed with cheerful shades of blue to compliment the vintage venue, furniture and props.

If you’re getting married abroad this sunny colour palette will be perfect for bringing a destination wedding venue to life and will really make your wedding photos pop!

You Mean The World To Me

We introduced you to the idea that orange is the happiest colour yesterday and today’s real wedding illustrates just how true that is. There’s so much fun and enjoyment going on in these photos from PhotoFactory. Sarah used her favourite colour palette – peach and tangerine – as the theme to their big day and ensured that this picturesque private villa wedding was packed with personality.

Sarah and Kaz worked hard to make this special day their own; from Sarah’s incredible dress handmade by her talented best friend’s mum, to the DIY decorations and personalised favours. But the real icing on the cake? Sarah had her very own ‘trash the dress’ photo opportunity to the delight of their guests!

Sarah says:

“My Husband Kaz and I were married on the 15th June 2013. After looking at a few place locally in Western Australia and not finding anywhere that we really liked we decided to do it in Bali. Kaz and I wanted somewhere green and lush, picturesque and serine and somewhere we could stay and have the whole day in the one place. We took a weekend visit to Bali to choose a venue – there are so many beautiful places to choose from. Many people choose to stick to the coastline of Bali but we wanted something different.”

Wedding Theme Inspiration – Orange Is The Happiest Colour

You Mean The World To Me

Fall is here. We are fully embracing the new season and with it, one of the autumnal colours that we love the most – orange.

Earthy orange tones conjure up images of crisp leaves rustling underfoot, intense winter sunsets, crackling log fires, blazing bonfires and the carving of pumpkins at Halloween.

Bright and bold for an autumn or winter wedding, you can just as easily add a vibrant pop of pink, or cool with hints of mint and neutral tones to create a sunshiny summer palette.

This warm and happy shade is believed to symbolise optimism, enthusiasm, positivity and joy. As Frank Sinatra once said “Orange is the happiest colour.”
