Real Wedding – Vintage Meets Industrial Chic In New York City

Being a city girl at heart, there’s nothing I love more than a metropolis marriage and New York City has to be a firm favorite when it comes to urban locales. The skyscraper views, the chic city venues…if a concrete jungle wedding is what your destination dreams are made of, then The Big Apple will not disappoint!

Heather and Brian tied the knot in NYC with a vintage-inspired wedding day that was cool and then some. They fell helplessly in love with The Green Building and built their theme around its beautifully sleek industrial interior and vintage vibe – it even has a speakeasy room at the back, decked out in décor that would be fitting to the prohibition days.

Previously a brass foundry, The Green Building boasts original brick walls and exposed beam ceilings, opulently finished with gold chandeliers and twinkling fairy lights to create a warm and intimate setting.

Real Wedding – Stylish Beachside Wedding In The Hamptons

Caitlin & Mark   ♥   New York, USA

I’ve developed a real soft spot for weddings in the oh-so-desirable Hamptons of New York. They have all the cool, edgy vibes of a sleek city wedding yet they’re beachside, with the kind of raw and scenic backdrops that only come from being beside the seaside.

The Hamptons has long been a classic city getaway for New Yorkers and with the rise in popularity of destination weddings, this exclusive beach area and its impressive venues have been taking the wedding world by storm.

Caitlin and Mark tied the knot with a relaxed outdoor ceremony overlooking the gentle ocean waves before partying the night away with their gorgeous guests at a private golf club – The Bridge in Bridgehampton. All the style of the city was combined with stunning vistas of the sea to create a winning wedding combo!

Trash The Dress – Long Beach, New York

Trash The Dress

Magdalena & Robert   ♥   New York, USA

Photographer:   RM Digital Photography

When you think of New York, you automatically imagine the urban mecca of Manhattan, the concrete jungle where dreams are made of…the last thing that would come to mind would be long stretches of white sand beaches and surfing spots.

However the beaches surrounding New York City and specifically their surf scene is growing rapidly in popularity. Less than 30 miles from Manhattan Island and just south of Long Island is Long Beach, a seaside city facing the Atlantic Ocean that sees locals and city dwellers coming to soak up the sun and surf the waves.

In 2011 Long Beach hosted the Quiksilver Pro, where pro surfers such as the famous Kelly Slater competed and the beach city hasn’t looked back since. So next time you’re visiting the Big Apple, be sure to book in some time to get out of the metropolis and explore the golden sands on the city’s doorstop.

Magdalena and Robert did just that, however this daring duo turned up to the coast rocking their wedding attire. This didn’t stop them enjoying everything that the coastline has to offer, as they trashed their getup in the swell of the waves with the summer sun setting beyond.

If you have any concerns about it raining on your wedding day, just take a look at today’s delightful destination day in the Hamptons.

Pearl and Michael chose Montauk, on the eastern-most tip of Long Island in the Hamptons for their stylish soiree and they prove that the odd rain shower doesn’t need to dampen your spirits; it can instead add to the fun, be entertaining and even add a little more romanticism to your day – you get to snuggle under your umbrella with your hubby for a start!

A rosy red, fresh mint and pretty pink palette worked wonderfully with Pearl’s beautiful, beaded 1920s bridal look. Inspired by The Great Gatsby, Pearl and Michael certainly hosted a celebration to remember.

Aubrey & Andrew   ♥   New York, USA

Some weddings are virtually impossible to edit. I just want to feature every, single, photo! And this seaside soiree in Quogue, New York is certainly one of those darling days.

Being from the UK, Quogue was new news to me. Being only 80 miles out of New York City, this charming bayside village sits in the heart of the infamous Hamptons on Long Island, Suffolk County, New York and boasting un-spoilt stretches of clear white sandy beaches, this is one fabulous destination-wedding locale.

It played the perfect host to Aubrey and Andrew’s relaxed marriage ceremony which is one of those infectious events that with just one look makes you wish you’d been invited. You can’t take your eyes off the fun in the photography as the personality of Aubrey and Andrew and their nearest and dearest shines through.

Modern vintage, quirky and cool, this day has it all, including of course an incredible ocean view locale and some seriously dapper wedding style thrown in for good measure. Oh and of course an insanely talented photography team – Kane and Social – to capture the laid-back luxury atmosphere to perfection.

So come and indulge in today’s beachside celebration, you’ll be inspired from the off.
