Antique metallic hues work wonderfully with vibrant shades of aqua marine and a neutral off-white base, so channel your inner Audrey Hepburn when planning your next soiree by adding some chic finishing touches such as these to your guest’s tables…

You Mean The World To Me

Throughout each year the global masterminds of colour at Pantone deliver delicious reports on the hot hues for the seasons ahead. Having studied the SS14 catwalk shows of New York Fashion week, Pantone produced the palette featured above which highlights the central colours for spring next year.

If you’re looking for some stylish ideas for your big day theme, these fashion forward colour combinations are guaranteed to tick all of the trend boxes. Plus, there will be a plentiful supply of wedding day pretty hitting the shops in these pastels early next year as predicted by Pantone, thus making it super easy to find the perfect pieces to match your theme.

First up for inspiration from the Pantone palette was Violet Tulip

This week, let cheerful Freesia brighten your big day.

“…a blazing yellow that is sure to illuminate wardrobes this season. A tropical, floral-inspired shade, Freesia’s warmth and energy help set the stage…”

“Designers take a modern twist on the traditional for spring 2014 by pairing soft pastels with vivid brights to create a colorful equilibrium. Inspired by a mixture of blooming flowers, travels abroad and strong, confident women, designers use color to refresh, revive and defy conventional wisdom.” – pantone.com

“This season, consumers are looking for a state of thoughtful, emotional and artistic equilibrium,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®. “While this need for stability is reflected in the composition of the palette, the inherent versatility of the individual colors allows for experimentation with new looks and color combinations.”

Check out some colourful ways to incorporate fresh floral freesia inspiration into your wedding…

Real Wedding – Traditional Tea Ceremony

31/07/2013 | 0

You Mean The World To Me

Nicole & Michael   ♥   Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Photographer:   BlueCicada Photography

We have died and gone to dress heaven! Today’s bride wore luxurious lace and a pair of Carrie Bradshaw-esque kitten heels. The best part of the bridal outfit? Nicole dressed head-to-toe in pink – the perfect palette for a laid-back, yet super-stylish wedding celebration.

Nicole and Michael live in Hong Kong and earlier this year they married there, with an intimate civil wedding ceremony. They held an informal and relaxed celebration afterwards consisting of a traditional tea ceremony, drinks reception and a wedding dinner at The Ritz Carlton, Kuala Lumpur for family who couldn’t attend their ceremony. Nicole looked pretty in pink, wearing a delicate lace Valentino dress and a pair of bright, bold beauties – hot pink Manolo Blahnik’s.

Caroline from BlueCicada Photography talks us through the couples story:

“Nicole, Michael and I met last March at Le Meridien to have a chat after they had contacted me to potentially be their photographer for their post-wedding celebrations. They were passing through Kuala Lumpur, on their way to the UK from Hong Kong. Already I felt that we had a great connection, the conversation flew easily and I really enjoyed our chat. I was really happy when they got back to me later to ask me to be their photographer for their event in June.”
