For those of you who read the blog in the UK we are not going to travel too far today! This delightful DIY wedding took place on a fabulous farm deep in the Hertfordshire countryside.

Kate and Josh turned this country farm venue into a carnival of colours; pretty ribbons, bright blooms, vibrant red bridesmaid dresses and some of the best DIY details I’ve seen added pops of colour and personality.

An elegant garden marquee was decked with pretty lanterns, super-sweet bunting and not forgetting a mouth-watering naked cake to deliver a rustic and rural finish. And check out the cheerful red balloon send off – such a steal-worthy idea!

Not only did this cute couple create an adorable wedding crammed with character, but they also smiled and laughed with their guests throughout the whole day, their love for one another clear to see…

This wonderful wintertime wedding seemed perfectly fitting for Christmas Day!

If you’ve opened your stockings and given out your gifts and you’ve settled down on the sofa with your loved ones to enjoy a glass of bucks fizz before your turkey dinner, this fabulous festive wedding is here to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

Filled with love, laughter (so much laughter! I don’t think I’ve seen a happier and more beaming bride) and happy ever after, this Christmastime soiree is a December wedding done right, with just the right amount of mistletoe, winter blooms, Christmas decorations and of course wine!

Bohemian Weddings:

“When couples choose to have a winter wedding you know it will be pretty special come rain or shine. It’s a very different feel with different light and not to mention weather!”

“Vikki & Michael decided to hold their wedding on the 21st December, which meant Christmas trees, decorations, mistletoe and a festive open fire!”

You Mean The World To Me

Vicky & Matt   ♥   Hertfordshire, England

Photographer:   Bohemian Weddings

It’s St George’s Day today and what better way to celebrate England’s national day than with a garden party wedding?

Vicky and Matt tied the knot in a quaint countryside village church in Hertfordshire, before celebrating in the garden, enjoying the late summer sun and some bubbles (in the form of champagne and blowing bubbles!). An impressive tipi was filled with fairy lights to create a unique venue for the wedding breakfast.

From the blackberry-filled bridal bouquet and buttonholes, to the white cab wedding transport and the bright red post box for the wedding cards, today’s back garden wedding was intimate, sweet and oh-so-English.

Bohemian Weddings:

“Vicky and Matt’s wedding was a small English country wedding, set in the lovely Hertfordshire countryside. They held their ceremony in St Mary’s Church in Rickmansworth, as Vicky grew up in a nearby village, where her mum still lives.”

“Vicky and Matt opted for a simple but elegant white cab to be transported in and their reception was held in Vicky’s mum’s garden – the perfect venue!”

Real Wedding – A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Kara & Alan   ♥   Solihull, England

This romantic woodland wedding is like a scene from ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream.’ It epitomises all of the magic of a summer wedding and conjures up true Shakespeare-style love.

Kara and Alan held their ceremony on a tiny woodland island (hidden away at the bottom of the grand gardens of Hogarths Hotel, Solihull), surrounded by a trickling stream and a carpet of bluebells blowing in the slight summer breeze.

Kara’s softly flowing dress and the flower in her tousled hair, ensured she looked every bit the enchanting Fairy Queen. The addition of wild flower bouquets, the floaty chiffon bridesmaid dresses and the graceful sound of the violinists all added to this wedding’s enchanting theme.

“I know a bank where the wild thyme blows, Where oxlips and the nodding violet grows, Quite over-canopied with luscious woodbine, With sweet musk-roses and with eglantine.” – William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Kara says:

“Alan asked me to marry him in Venice! He swept me off my feet in a gorgeous location, with a beautiful ring and of course I said YES! As soon as we got home we couldn’t wait to set the date and get married as soon as possible. Hogarth’s Hotel was the first venue I visited and when Kate (my bridesmaid and best friend) and I stood on ‘the island’ in the hotel grounds, we knew it was the perfect place for Alan and I to tie the knot.”

“Choosing the date was easy, we knew we wanted a spring wedding and one of the only available dates was 27th May which was a bank holiday weekend. So everything just seemed to fall into place. Once the date was secured, Hogarth’s were absolutely amazing and finalising the details was a joy. They made everything so easy – we were able to make everything really personal but they helped with the big things like timings of the ceremony, food and drinks.”

Bride and Groom Wiltshire

Emma & Liam   ♥   Wiltshire, England

Photographer:   Draw Down The Stars

Stunning. Elegant. Luxurious.

The dress….those buttons….wow! If there’s one feature I love on a wedding dress, it is beautiful buttons. The back of Emma’s 1930s inspired vintage dress, is as beautiful and as striking as the front. You will have all kinds of dress envy going on with today’s real wedding!

Bradley House

Bride And Groom

Wedding Day

Emma and Liam married at Bradley House, an English Stately Home belonging to the Dukes of Somerset and their family. Set in the picturesque village of Maiden Bradley and surrounded by the rolling Wiltshire countryside, this imposing house (built more than 3 centuries ago) makes for an impressive, yet idyllic wedding venue.

A sweeping driveway guides guests through manicured gardens and up to the commanding frontage of this handsome home. The couple teamed their stunning venue with personal touches and ensured that unique entertainment created an unforgettable day, despite dodging the odd rain shower!
