Real Wedding – Rustic DIY Day In Lithuania

Irma & Vaidas   ♥   Kaunas, Lithuania

Photographer:    Martynas Masiulionis – 1111 Photography

This morning’s rustic, DIY wedding comes all the way from the Baltic country of Lithuania.

Irma and Vaidas tied the knot with a City Hall ceremony in the Old Town of Kaunas, Lithuania’s second-largest city. This vibrant university town sits upon the banks of the Nemunas River and the medieval Old Town oozes with history and charm.

After an exciting adventure on their way from the ceremony to the reception (I’ll let Irma tell you more!) they hosted a homely, backyard-style celebration that was bursting with vintage-inspired DIY details – all of which were created by the bride’s own fair hands.

From Irma’s elegant and wistful dress teamed with white Converse wedding shoes to their super-cute Pug dog, from the cheeky, snazzy dressed groomsmen sporting bright braces and bow ties to the inviting décor and DIY details, this cheerful wedding is brimming with relaxed character.

Goda & Arturas   ♥   Vilnius, Lithuania

Photographer:   Justin R – Wedding Photographer

All weddings make your heart swell, no matter the location, the details, the wedding pretty. It’s the story that counts, the coming together of two people, of two families and the loving looks that you catch in the eyes of the newly-weds.

Well, today’s pretty pink wedding has it all! The delight of Goda and Arturas during their special day is unmistakably clear to see; they never stop grinning, their eyes fixated on one another whilst radiating remarkably relaxed and unperturbed personas. This laid-back, loving atmosphere serves only to heighten the super-inviting feeling of their darling day, creating the type of occasion everyone would love to be invited to: warm, welcoming and fun.

The cherry on the top of this sweet European wedding is an utterly charming theme, with a sugary haze of delicate pinks and lilac, dainty butterflies, vintage music paper and delightful bicycle references, all captured on camera by the wonderful destination wedding photographer Justin R. Enjoy!

Getting Married In Cyprus

If you are thinking about getting married in Cyprus then this Destination Wedding Guide is a great place to start! And who could be better than the Cyprus destination wedding expert Matthew Oliver of A Beautiful Cyprus Wedding to bring you all of the inspiration and information you need to start planning your big day in the sunshine haven of Cyprus?

A Beautiful Cyprus Wedding:

There is so much to love about the beautiful island of Cyprus. If I were to get married there I would embrace the culture and traditions by having a lovely local Cypriot themed wedding! I would get married at a traditional town hall ceremony and then hire out a beautiful taverna for the evening. Each venue would be decorated with loads of fresh blooms and I would have wooden chairs and tables to complement the venues and rustic design style.

Holly & Richard   ♥   Can Gall, Ibiza

Photographer:   Ana Lui Photography

This darling couple first met on the wonderful White Isle of Ibiza and so of course it only seemed right for them to tie the knot on this idyllic island. They decided upon the breathtaking rural location of Can Gall Agroturismo Hotel, a beautifully restored Ibiza finca hidden away in a tranquil setting in the North, surrounded by fruit and olive trees and pine covered mountains.

Holly and Richard truly show that getting married abroad and having a destination wedding does not mean that you can’t add your own personal style to your day. From wonderfully rustic wedding touches such as white wicker hearts and lanterns hanging in the trees to delightful DIY details like their fancy photo booth, Holly and Richard had their day their way.

Bright pops of sunshiny yellow and an ingenious haven of hay bales that they had imported from home to create a chill-out area, finish this day off with flair! The tremendously talented team at Ana Lui Photography were there to capture all of the fun-filled moments of this charming day…including an impromptu trash the dress session at the end of the evening, don’t miss it!

Real Wedding – Pretty Pink And Purple Church Wedding Ireland

Siobhan & Ross   ♥   Tipperary, Ireland

Photographer:   Claire Penn

If you’re looking to get married abroad, then consider idyllic Ireland – it is a wonderful location for a dreamy destination wedding. It’s not too far for your guests to travel (if you’re from the UK) and it has some of the most beautiful, rural venues steeped in history and character, such as the stunning Kilshane House in Tiperrary. If you’re looking for a venue that oozes elegance yet delivers a relaxed and informal ambiance, this Regency built house has it all.

Siobhan and Ross certainly delivered a magical wedding for their guests when they said ‘I Do’ with a pretty pink and purple church wedding in Ireland last summer. Brimming with DIY-done-right details, big bright blooms, a faultless colour palette and the perfect amount of personal touches, they had their day their way and ensured it was full of fun, love and laughter (and dancing ‘til dawn!).

Siobhan looked every bit the Hollywood siren she hoped to. You can’t beat a beautiful bride with a pop of red lippy, a chic Jenny Packham gown and some stylish Louboutins to boot! The wonderful Claire Penn was there to capture the essence of this magical day…

Siobahn says:

“We are both born and breed in London, but my Mum and Dad are from Ireland. I have such amazing memories from going to Ireland every year when I was younger to Tipperary to our family home for Easter and summer holidays with all my cousins and family.”
