Tenille & Chris ♥ South Carolina, USA
Photographer: Judy Nunez Photography
If you’re considering having an engagement shoot look no further for some serious wow-factor inspiration…
Today’s artistic love shoot took place at one of America’s most beautiful gardens – the Magnolia Plantation in South Carolina. Not only did the oldest public gardens in America create a wildly romantic setting but the couple’s talented photographer ensured that their final photographs portrayed their togetherness and their love of being creative…oh and their incredibly cute pooches too!

New York City is inarguably one of the greatest cities on the planet and when the weather comes to life in springtime, leaving behind the snowy, frozen sidewalks and looking instead to blooming walkways of cherry blossom, there’s no greater time to visit the wonderful city that never sleeps.
With the weather so fine, New Yorkers head outside, to Central Park (amongst other locales) and the sunshiny setting of these famous grounds made a picture-perfect backdrop for today’s engagement shoot along with the majestic architecture of Grand Central Station.
Take a few minutes and enjoy soaking up the spectacular sunlit scenery of this magical metropolis…wish you were here?!
Christia & Yannis ♥ London, UK
Photographer: Elias Kordelakos
Welcome to 2015 folks and a warm welcome to any new readers to the blog!
Were you proposed to over the festive season? If so…congratulations!!! What a super exciting time for you, enjoy every moment of the celebrations…oh and if you’re thinking of getting married abroad, you have of course come to the right place! There will be a plentiful supply of destination wedding pretty to feast your eyes on this year and of course top tips, advice, ideas and inspiration.
So with it being a brand new year and with newly engaged readers joining us today, what could be a better way to start 2015 than with a bright, springtime engagement shoot in everyone’s favourite city – London.
If your partner has just popped the question or even if you’ve been wearing your ring for ages, an engagement shoot is a great way to document this special time in your life. A love shoot is also the perfect way to get used to having your photo taken before your big day and if you have your shoot with your chosen wedding photographer it means that you get to meet and bond prior to the wedding day too.
Anyway back to the capital city…did you know that an estimated 18.7 million international visitors came to enjoy the delights of London during 2014? This whopping figure makes London the world’s most popular city for foreign tourists (info via Conde Nast Traveller) and if you’ve had the pleasure of spending some time in the big smoke then you’ll know why it is a firm favourite with visitors near and far.
Every metropolis has its hidden gems far beyond the tourist sights and I believe you don’t get to fully understand a city and truly experience its vibe until you discover its underbelly. With this in mind today’s photographer Elias Kordelakos guided Christia and Yannis (who first met each other in this cool city) away from the London landmarks and instead captured their happiness in the streets of London that the locals know and love.
Brianna & Greg ♥ New York City, USA
Photographer: Origin Photos
Hello September! Autumn is officially here.
To welcome in the new season today is this adorable New York City engagement shoot. The photos will certainly warm your heart and get you in a cozy state of mind as the lovely pair snuggle-up to keep warm against the chill of fall.
Brianna and Greg wrapped up in their winter woolies and went on a NYC tour to celebrate their engagement. Using stunning urban locations such as the romantic architecture of the Manhattan Public Library and the iconic Brooklyn Bridge as their backdrop, the talented team at Origin Photos captured this special time.
Helen & Dan ♥ Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Photographer: BlueCicada Photography
The China Town area of Kuala Lumpur made a bright and bustling backdrop to today’s destination engagement shoot. Helen and Dan live and work in KL and they wanted to capture the essence of the tropical city they call home, along with this special moment in their lives.
“I am super excited to be the photographer for these two lovebirds’ wedding coming up in August 2014, because it will be my first wedding in Europe. It will take place near Edinburgh (fingers crossed for beautiful weather there), where I have never been before, so double the excitement!”
“We had a mission of wandering around near China Town in the heart of Kuala Lumpur until we found a place where we could eat roti Cenai. If you have never had roti Cenai for breakfast, I highly recommend it! Now, I wouldn’t recommend it everyday for health purposes, but once in a while is just lush.”
“Enjoy the colourful city of KL and the fun moments with this lovely pair!”
“Dan and I met in Edinburgh at university, but our lives took very different paths until we met up again in 2011 back in Edinburgh. I was living in Kuala Lumpur and Dan in Yorkshire. We decided on that day that we ‘re-met’ that he would move to KL. A year later he did (after a year of skype and letter writing- very romantic). We now both live and work as teachers in Malaysia.
Birgit & John ♥ Chicago, USA
Photographer: Louie Abellera Photography
This gorgeous couple headed to the shore of Lake Michigan at sunrise in order to have the twinkling lights of Chicago and the most romantic early morning light as a backdrop to their engagement shoot, before heading off into the streets of the Windy City for more urban-inspired photographs.
The result is this stylish engagement shoot that is so city-slick that it looks more like a fashion shoot than a personal love shoot!
“Birgit and John emailed me asking if I’d be up for shooting their engagement session while the sun rose over Lake Michigan. I was stoked. It was cold. But these images show the ginormous love these two have for each other. Can’t wait to shoot their wedding this summer!”
