Bree & Erik ♥ Puerto Penasco, Mexico
Photographer: Ily Grantham
Not only did Bree and Erik’s destination wedding take place beside a beautiful beach in Mexico (not to mention how stunning Bree looked in her lace wedding dress…that she designed herself – how talented?!) but there’s a wonderfully warmhearted and thoughtful story behind the spot where they decided to tie the knot.
Being able to pick a truly unique wedding location can be one of the main reasons that brides and grooms decide to get married abroad. For this darling duo not only did a destination wedding feel right but getting hitched in Mexico enabled all of their close friends who live in Mexico to definitely be able to attend their nuptials.
A typical hotel wedding just didn’t fit the bill and so they set about making a brilliant one of a kind idea become a reality. I’ll let Bree the beautiful bride explain the full story behind their heartfelt bohemian ceremony in Mexico…
Lou & Rob ♥ Victoria, Australia
Photographer: Oli Sansom
Lovers of the great outdoors will no doubt be dreaming of tying the knot alfresco, breathing in pure fresh air and surrounded by nothing but nature and untouched beauty.
Lou and Rob said “I Do” out in the bushland of the picturesque Goulburn River region in the heart of Victoria, Australia. A truly open-air affair, they said their vows beneath the forest’s branches within this charming National Park.
Lou looked everything a woodland boho bride should be and more, whilst splashes of fiery red added flare to their rustic wedding party look.
Sofia & Fotis ♥ Athens, Greece
Photographer: Elias Kordelakos
If you weren’t feeling that you would love to jet off on holiday somewhere that the sun is shining brightly then you certainly will once you see today’s glorious summer wedding in Greece.
This is what destination wedding days are all about! Clear blue skies overhead, a delightfully decorated garden venue and a relaxed outdoor ceremony where you and your guests can enjoy the warmth of the summer sun.
Add a beautiful boho-bride with a bright wild daisy bouquet, two cuter-than-cute flower girls (aren’t their dainty gypsophila flower crowns pretty?) and a dapper groom dressed in a sleek navy suit and you have a gorgeous garden wedding in Greece that your nearest and dearest will adore attending…
If you loved this week’s woodland boho bride-inspired styled shoot, be sure to check out the super-cute short film which showcases all of the darling details and these two lovebirds up close and personal.
If you go down to the woods today, you’re sure of a big surprise! Relaxed, bohemian themes are as popular as ever in the wedding world and one of my favourite angles of boho bride styling is a laid-back woodland wedding.
The earthy greens and stoney blues, the dusky pink and peach flowers, and the splashes of antique gold in today’s stunning styled shoot, all faultlessly compliment the natural forest surroundings. Fashioned and photographed by Cassandra Farley Photography and a talented team of vendors, this wedding theme inspiration encapsulates woodland boho bride designing.
Team a vintage-vibe gown with festival fashion-forward jewellery for a contemporary twist on boho-chic. And when it comes to treating your guests, an informal countryside ceremony wouldn’t be complete without a naked wedding cake – pared-down perfection!
Amity & Alex ♥ Bali, Indonesia
Photographer: Windee Winata – PhotoFactory Bali
This blissful beachside wedding is boho chic at its best – with delicate flower crowns, floaty bridesmaid dresses in nearly nude hues and an effortlessly beautiful boho bride.
Amity and Alex chose Bali as their destination wedding location – possibly the most perfect setting for a boho beach wedding!
A relaxed reception with family-style dining added to the informal yet-oh-so-elegant feel of the day. Tables were filled to bursting with flowers, vintage birdcages, Balinese gifts for the guests, and of course a plentiful supply of twinkling candle light and low-slung lanterns, whilst Moroccan leather pouffes provided chill-out areas to gaze at the stunning sunset and enjoy the bonfire party that ended the evening.
“Neither of us are very religious so a church wedding was never an option. Bali is a special place to both of us and before we met we had always thought we would get married there…I saw a wedding on a photography blog I follow and just knew I had to get married on that beach!”
“We sent out of invitations quite early to give our guests plenty of notice to start saving! The invite contained a small information booklet on Bali with tips and suggestions for where to book accommodation. It also had a RSVP postcard with song requests as a part of it – these in addition to the actual invitation, were bound in lace and twine.”
