There might be sunshiny skies here in the UK today but the blog is boasting all shades of autumn…
This real life bride and groom (Shannon and Al) were hoping to create a stylised ‘day after’ photo shoot and so together with a talented team of vendors they set about achieving this wonderfully bohemian woodland wedding inspiration.
The crisp days of early fall delivered an atmospheric light for this romantic rural shoot set within a family owned vineyard at Baiting Hollow, New York.
Bree & Erik ♥ Puerto Penasco, Mexico
Photographer: Ily Grantham
Not only did Bree and Erik’s destination wedding take place beside a beautiful beach in Mexico (not to mention how stunning Bree looked in her lace wedding dress…that she designed herself – how talented?!) but there’s a wonderfully warmhearted and thoughtful story behind the spot where they decided to tie the knot.
Being able to pick a truly unique wedding location can be one of the main reasons that brides and grooms decide to get married abroad. For this darling duo not only did a destination wedding feel right but getting hitched in Mexico enabled all of their close friends who live in Mexico to definitely be able to attend their nuptials.
A typical hotel wedding just didn’t fit the bill and so they set about making a brilliant one of a kind idea become a reality. I’ll let Bree the beautiful bride explain the full story behind their heartfelt bohemian ceremony in Mexico…
Stephanie & James ♥ Louisiana, USA

If you’ve decided to have an engagement shoot, it is quite likely that the first thing that came into your mind as soon as you booked it was “What am I going to wear?”
If you’re still debating your all-important outfit choice, there’s a real trend at the moment for wearing white for an engagement shoot and today’s beautifully chic bohemian shoot sums up why! Not only does it get you and your hubby-to-be in the wedding state of mind but it’s a great opportunity to play around with a few wedding day looks.
Whether it’s seeing how you’ll look in a white dress, wearing your hair in a different way, trialing new make up styles or wearing a flower crown, you can experiment with ideas and sample a little of what it will be like when your big day actually arrives.
Ensure that your beau feels comfortable in his clothing choice too and that it works well together with your getup and be sure to pick outfits that work with the surroundings of your shoot. Stephanie and James opted for the historic, natural charm of the Rural Life Museum in Louisiana as the picture-perfect backdrop for their rustic, bohemian styled shoot.
Sofia & Fotis ♥ Athens, Greece
Photographer: Elias Kordelakos
If you weren’t feeling that you would love to jet off on holiday somewhere that the sun is shining brightly then you certainly will once you see today’s glorious summer wedding in Greece.
This is what destination wedding days are all about! Clear blue skies overhead, a delightfully decorated garden venue and a relaxed outdoor ceremony where you and your guests can enjoy the warmth of the summer sun.
Add a beautiful boho-bride with a bright wild daisy bouquet, two cuter-than-cute flower girls (aren’t their dainty gypsophila flower crowns pretty?) and a dapper groom dressed in a sleek navy suit and you have a gorgeous garden wedding in Greece that your nearest and dearest will adore attending…
If you’re a free-spirited bride, make a style statement at your destination wedding and accessorise your barefoot look with a bridal anklet.
There’s an emerging trend for floral accessories beyond the flower crown, so add your big day blooms to your ankles for a fresh twist on this idea or let your feet do the talking with the addition of a bold anklet or create impact with barefoot bridal sandals – be sure to keep the rest of your bridal jewellery to a minimum to avoid a bling overload.
Ciara & Cormac ♥ Tipperary, Ireland
Photographer: Weddings By Kara
Ciara and Cormac wanted a traditional day and so they held their nuptials in a classically beautiful Catholic Church in County Tipperary, Ireland before enjoying their reception with their nearest and dearest at Kilshane House, an elegant regency house set within 320 acres of private parkland and boasting a stunning Victorian Conservatory built in 1860.
Ciara added a modern edge to their traditional day with her boho bride styling, whilst contemporary curtains of twinkling fairy lights and a sweet cupcake tower decorated the decadent venue.
“The proposal? It was my birthday and we were living in Chicago at the time so Cormac planned a night away in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin to celebrate. We went for dinner and afterwards back at the hotel, he asked me to check the meal receipt to see was everything right…. he had written it on the receipt!”
