We are pretty darn lucky here at You Mean The World To Me…some incredible destination wedding photographers kindly take time out of their busy schedules to share the beautiful weddings that they’ve photographed across the globe, in order to bring you – the lovely readers – all kinds of wedding pretty in lust-worthy locations to inspire your own wedding day and your jet-set loving hearts.
These talented wedding togs also share our love for the wanderlust of course and whether it’s for work or for pleasure they get to visit some of the dreamiest destinations going. So, that’s where the new Travel Diaries series on the blog comes in; your favourite wedding photographers have the opportunity to invite us into their personal holidays and take a peek at their world-wide adventures. With beautiful imagery (obviously!) they also discuss their top tips and any must-see attractions for when visiting their latest vacation locale.
Having already visited The Unspoilt Algarve, we’ve also enjoyed Exploring Scenic Santorini and been introduced to A Personal Love of Provence. This month Gert Huygaerts helps us to discover The Amazing Amalfi Coast in Italy.
This picture-perfect region is top of many people’s must-visit list (mine included!). Literally bursting with romance it’s no wonder that it is hugely popular for destination weddings and honeymoons. Prepare to fall in love with some of the most idyllic spots that Italy has to offer…
It almost seems like the Amalfi Coast in Italy was made for destination weddings; luxury cliff top hotels with awe-inspiring vistas exude a certain timeless elegance that simply cannot be beaten.
Today’s styled shoot took place at the famous Belmond Hotel Caruso, a former 11th century palace perched high above the picturesque Ravello coastline – destination wedding heaven. Captured beautifully by the gifted Gert Huygaerts Photography, this ethereal wedding theme inspiration is sublime…and no wonder, it was lovingly created by the oh-so-talented Joy Proctor Design.
The wildly romantic setting, the delicate duck egg blue and antique gold palette and the exquisite details throughout this shoot create a stylish backdrop to this elegant and timeless theme.
The morning of your wedding day is like a dream; it’s difficult to put your finger on the feeling or for a description to do it justice.
It’s a little like the giddy sensation on Christmas morning when you’re a child. Waking up and realising that something exciting is going to happen, but knowing that you have to wait as it’s too early to get up yet – this combined with a hazy daydream sensation almost like it’s not real.
When these magical moments and the emotion of preparing to be a bride are caught on camera they’re priceless, so ensure that your wedding photographer spends a little time with you and your maids in the bridal suite at this special time.
Today’s sophisticated styled shoot has this thought in mind and is overflowing with romantic inspiration for your bridal preparation. The oh-so-talented team (Gert Huygaerts Photography and Joy Proctor Design to name just a few) flawlessly captured the essence of an elegant Italian wedding morning at the breathtaking Belmond Hotel Caruso.
Subtle shades of blush, duck egg blue, muted grey and off-white created a soft palette, perfectly fitting for this enchanting setting, whilst chic bridal accessories, antique jewellery and delicate details assisted in emphasizing the pure romanticism of this bridal preparation shoot.
