Today’s real wedding is picture perfect. Of course, Bora the beautiful bride steals the show in her delicately detailed dresses and just wait until you see her shoes – you’ll definitely go green eyed!

Bora and Will held their reception in one of California’s chicest hotels, The London in West Hollywood, Los Angeles. With panoramic views across the City of Angels as their backdrop, the couple put their heart and soul into adding a personal stamp to the venue (including a giant monogram topiary no less!) and they really made their special day their own.

Sara says:

“Okay, I have to spill a guilty secret. I was ‘this’ close to hijacking these two wedding dresses for my own, after seeing Bora stun in them. If only I was getting married again… swoon! Simply breathtaking! Bora is a designer for Tory Burch so it makes sense that her wedding would be so absolutely stunning!”

Bora says:

“My love of design, decor, interiors, fashion…I wanted it to be a mix of classic and modern with lots of greenery. Instead of how a ‘wedding’ should be with colour themes – I wanted it to be ‘how I would decorate my home’ or a ‘dinner party’. Romantic, classic, a bit quirky with all my favourite things – topiaries, blue and white Chinoiserie vases, black and white checkered floors, chandeliers, candelabras and I definitely wanted long rectangular tables. I also had my ‘Olympia Le Tan’ book clutch for the wedding- as something blue, which I loved!”

“I wanted all the guys to wear a colorful striped Happy Sock. It’s the grooms favorite thing- always wears one of those Happy Socks so I thought it would be cute to have all the groomsmen and my nephew, the ringboy to wear them!”

“My friend, Patty helped paint the map and wreath/garlands for my invitation. I knew I wanted it to be watercolor, organic looking, and lots of green. From that I created the watercolor menu. My cousin was generous enough to print them all for me at his print shop in NYC.”

“I felt The London was such a modern space, so I wanted to balance it with soft, vintage colored flowers in organic shapes, gold accents and a chandelier.”

“I wanted it to feel classic but with a little twist – a little ‘Alice in Wonderland’ like – with the gold chairs, black and white checkerboard dance floors, giant topiaries, with a crystal chandelier centred on the dance floor. I thought the bistro lights and candelabras will give it more of a soft, romantic feel (instead of harsh spotlights or colored lights) with the view of Hollywood from the rooftop.”

“I always knew I would have a giant monogram topiary at my wedding…I wanted it more giant but it took much longer and it was much heavier than expected so that was as large as I could go. It took weeks and many trips to downtown LA but I thought it was successful at the end.”

Venue and suppliers:

Wow, what a wedding! What a venue!

Are you totally lusting after Bora’s shoes now too? And how delightful are the ‘Happy Socks’ – especially on the little ring bearer? Super cute.
