No.1 Gatwick Airport Lounge Review

When you’re getting married abroad it’s a good idea to get to the airport early! This will ensure that you’re feeling stress-free and you won’t be rushing around last minute as having more luggage to juggle than normal might mean that it takes you longer to get to check in and move around the airport.

A nice peaceful sit down with a chilled glass of champagne and a bite to eat would be the perfect start to your incredible destination wedding journey wouldn’t it? But where would you find this calming corner when you’re jetting off from one of the UK’s busy airports and will there definitely be some free seats and ones where you can park your wedding dress, suit bag and extra hand luggage next to you without being knocked by hoards of passing travellers?

If you want to kick start your destination wedding, honeymoon or upcoming holiday in a relaxing way with a little extra luxury thrown in for good measure then you should visit BookFHR.com and pre-book a visit to one of the UK’s stylish airport lounges.

BookFHR.com Review

You can book lounge access at 23 airports across the UK through BookFHR.com. Each airport lounge offers a slightly different service but they all deliver an oasis away from the busy airport terminal, where you can relax in a tranquil atmosphere and enjoy complimentary drinks (some have champagne upgrades available – hello!), snacks and bistro dishes.

BookFHR.com kindly invited my hubby and I to try the South Terminal No.1 Gatwick lounge before our recent holiday to sunny Mallorca (check out the fun we had over on Instagram).

A quick call to the friendly customer service team and we were all booked in. We simply took our reservation to the lounge at the airport once we were all checked in and we were set! We enjoyed sampling everything the tasty buffet breakfast had to offer, we ordered from the hot bistro breakfast menu too (who can say no to a bacon sandwich when you’ve been up for 4 hours already and it’s only 8am?!) and took advantage of the unlimited hot and cold drinks whilst overlooking the runway.

There’s a fully tended bar (it was a little too early in the day to tuck into this, even for us!), unlimited WiFi access, daily newspapers, glossy magazines, restaurant seating, comfy lounge seating and TV’s to entertain you.

Booking airport lounge access would make a lovely luxurious surprise for your partner and a calm start to your destination wedding, honeymoon or holiday. Ensure you check out the champagne upgrades if you are flying later in the day so that you can toast the beginning of your wedding party at together and I would highly recommend that you do pre-book the airport lounges as travellers who were turning up to the lounge without a prior booking were turned away as the lounge was already fully booked. Despite being fully booked though, the lounge was nice and quiet, so the bookings are staggered in a way that ensures that the lounge is not crowded.

Along with UK airport lounges you can also book international lounges to make your return journey more pleasurable as well as being able to book airport parking and airport hotels. BookFHR.com is a one stop shop to make your next airport visit easy and more enjoyable.
