Things That Make You Go Hmmm
You’ve got to love a lakeside wedding; all that fresh air, being outdoors at one with nature and the incredible waterside views, it certainly delivers a wildly romantic setting for saying “I Do”.
The talented team behind today’s styled shoot wanted to set a wedding scene that enhanced, rather than over took, their chosen lakeside lodge location. The beauty of exceptional wedding venues such as these is that they need less dressing and so when it comes to choosing your wedding pretty, be sure that is sympathetic to the surroundings and it will simply add flair to the existing scene without being overpowering.
So here’s Tana Photography to tell you more about this luxurious lakeside lodge wedding theme….
Move over the popular pineapple, there’s a new spikey friend in town. Yes, the latest growing trend is for pretty, prickly cacti!
Botanic garden inspired designs have been cropping up across the homeware and fashion world this year and with it, the humble cactus has been flourishing.
Not only easy to look after (which is great news for those, who like me, have a distinct lack of green fingered-ness!) these thorny little lovelies sit stylishly against industrial and scandi-inspired interiors that are the homeware looks de jour.
Also seen dressing plenty of fashion press events (such as the Whistles menswear launch last year), you can even pick up a cacti in the House of Holland store, apparently they’re flying off the shelves.
These drought-loving plants are not only totally on-vogue but they would add great texture and interest to your wedding aisle, wedding tables and wedding reception displays. They also make a cute and unique wedding favour idea and due to them surviving without constant watering they could not be any more ideal for sunshiny destination weddings – there’s certainly no risk of these tough fellas wilting in the mid-day heat.
So pretty up your destination wedding with these barbed beauties. From neutral hues to bright and beautiful colour palettes the versatile cactus compliments any theme. Take a look at these cactus themed wedding ideas for inspiration….
There might be sunshiny skies here in the UK today but the blog is boasting all shades of autumn…
This real life bride and groom (Shannon and Al) were hoping to create a stylised ‘day after’ photo shoot and so together with a talented team of vendors they set about achieving this wonderfully bohemian woodland wedding inspiration.
The crisp days of early fall delivered an atmospheric light for this romantic rural shoot set within a family owned vineyard at Baiting Hollow, New York.
Nothing says summer, summer, summertime more than fresh, zingy citrus fruits. So, what could be better than adding a cheerful orange crush palette to your warm weather destination wedding theme?!
Today’s sunny wedding inspiration adds a natural bright burst of colour to this wonderfully rustic wedding venue backdrop – think along the lines of unspoilt rural Spain or the laid-back vineyards of Cali.
Lively shades of orange were teamed with warmer coral hues, heavy vintage lace and a brilliant white table setting to really make those citrusy colours pop….
The dusty Nevada desert setting for today’s styled shoot was complimented with a base of muted stone hues whilst fun flashes of colour were chosen for the groomsmen bow ties and fabric bouquets to lift the overall colour palette.
This relaxed wedding theme inspiration feels young and fresh, perfectly fitting for a playful wedding day as the sun sets over the open desert or the glittering streets of nearby Las Vegas.
